• 1986 — Founding of Wagh Infrastructure Jagdish Wagh founds his construction firm in 1986 with one partner and one truck.
• 1991 — Refusal of Site 14 Jagdish Wagh turns down the creek-side plot known as Site 14, a decision the novel returns to seventeen years later.
• 1996 — First Redevelopment Wagh Infrastructure takes its first redevelopment project, an eleven-family society near Dombivli station.
• 2006 — Completion of Shivaji Chowk The Shivaji Chowk redevelopment completes fourteen months late, and the novel's central account comes due.
